We are in the run-up to a general election but the major parties don’t want to talk about the key issues which impact the country. Brexit is just one of the many things no one wants to talk about. There is no sensible discourse about how to fund and staff the health service and social care, how to deal with trade barriers with our biggest market, how to support our farmers, what can be done about education, how to house our people at sensible cost, should we raise taxes and so on. It is a serious matter for democracy when no politician will discuss our major problems and few politicians will admit that Brexit is one of common factors underpinning our problems.
Watch this film from the Financial Times to understand that we need to talk about Brexit.
